Precise subsurface measurement

Monteith & Sutherland Ltd. recently conducted a tunnel alignment audit in Peel Region, Ontario. Utilizing a Leica TS15, accurate to 1″ arc (0.3 mgon) and 1mm + 1.5ppm distance measurement, a precise survey network transferred coordinates from the Launch Shaft to the existing position of the Tunnel Boring Machine. Results collected from the survey realigned the Tunnel Boring Machine to design position.
